         The ancient village of Jieqiao was built in the Northern Song Dynasty during the reign of Yuanyou, and has a deep heritage, known as ‘Fangbo Family’ and ‘Eight Shifted Products’. Throughout the dynasties, the humanities have been flourishing, and there have been 7 scholars in succession. There are many buildings of Ming and Qing Dynasties in the scenic area, including ten ancestral halls, nine mansions and twenty-nine private halls, including Yuk Ching Hall, Ching Bao Hall, Yu Ching Hall, the Royal Historian's Office, the ancestral hall of Gong Yuzhang, the Scholar's Office, the Science and Technology Office, etc., and there are also ancient stone alleys, ancient stagecoach routes, ancient wells, etc. The structure and carvings of the ancient buildings are very exquisite. The structures and carvings of the ancient buildings are very exquisite, with elaborate craftsmanship, mostly belonging to the Jiangnan patio-style architecture. In the village, there are precious ancient camphor trees of Song and Yuan Dynasties, all of which are between 300-900 years old, flourishing and lush, among which the largest and the oldest ‘camphor king’, with a tree circumference of 9.7 metres, is a living testimony to the long history of the ancient village.
