SCENIC SPOT
Hongyang Cave. Also known as Yansong Cave and Fox Fairy Cave. Located in the National Tourism Area at the southern foot of the third peak of Yuanling in the northwestern part of Fairy Lake, overlooking Changshan Temple in the west and Insunyang Lake in the south, it enjoys the reputation of an ancient and modern scenic spot because of its deep and strange limestone cave landscape. The scenic spot covers an area of about 120 hectares and is divided into two sections, namely Hongyang Ancient Cave and Heaven and Earth Viewing Cave.
According to legend, Ge Hong, Lou Yang, a famous Taoist in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, lived in this cave to cultivate sex and practice Taoism and alchemy, hence the name 'Hongyang Cave'. And because of the Ming Dynasty Yan Song when he was young in the hole reading, so far there are "fox fairy reading", "swallowed the night pearl" myth, so the people also called Yan Song hole, fox fairy hole. Since the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Hongyang Cave is famous because of its jagged stalactites, inscriptions all over, was included in the Qing Dynasty Chaoyan compilation of large-scale class book "Ancient and Modern Book Integration" of "Shanchuan Dian", and the ad hoc "Hongyang Cave Department", which is rare in the country of the same type of caves, enough to see the cultural connotations of Hongyang Cave its thick and rich.
Inside the cave, there are 'seventeen stone chambers and seventy-two stone caves', with strange stones standing on the walls and stalactites in a variety of styles. Inside the cave are the mysterious Fountain of Agelessness, the Ancient Path of the Immortals, the Secret Realm and the Wonderland of the World, etc. The plaza under the mountain of Hongyang Cave (Cave World) is a continuous green meadow, orangery and pear orchard, miniature train, alpine slide, children's non-powered paradise and expansion area.
